Sell-Outs and New Printing Roundup

Both Marvel and Image Comics this past week have announced numerous sell-outs and reprints. Check out below for the round-up of what you can expect.

Among the sell-outs, BBC chat-show host Jonathan Ross’ and Ian Churchill’s Revenge #1—which follows the vengeful and violent war path of Griffin Franks after enemies surgically remove his face—stirred up fans of grit and gore and was given an Adult rating by Comixology before selling-out instantly on New Comics Day. Its second printing can be pre-ordered with Diamond Code JAN148236 and will be available on 3/26.

DC Comics 3-D Motion Covers return in September

dc comic logo At ComicsPro in Atlanta, GA today, DC Entertainment revealed that this September 3-D motion covers are returning in an even bigger and better way! Due to the “success” of 2013’s “Villains Month” 3-D motion covers, DC is going to give the technology a second spin.

Spinning out of the events of the new weekly series The New 52: Futures End, comic books will leap 5 years into the future! This fall expect the books to have even more depth and motion than before.

The New Fantastic Four Revealed

After months of speculation, it looks the cast of the rebooted Fantastic Four movie from Fox has been decided…. and it’s interesting. Numerous reputable sites are reporting that Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan andJamie Bell will star in the project that reboots the Marvel superheroes with Josh Trank directing. The movie will hit theaters on June 19, 2015.

Michael B. Jordan is the longest rumored cast member and has been a star on the rise since his breakthrough performance in Fruitville Station, for which he received numerous award consideration. Other notable roles include The Wire, All My Children, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, and Chronicle. He also voiced Cyborg/Victor Stone for DC’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox. Once upon a time, Air Force officer Carol Danvers gained superpowers. She donned a costume and became the distaff counterpart to Captain Marvel. Years later, Carol would become so respected (both in universe and in real life), that she took her rightful place as Captain Marvel proper. But that left a void, one that had to be filled. There’s a new MS. MARVEL in town, and she’s young, newly empowered, and ready to prove herself in the world.
